Rocket Rage Quantum Parachutes
Photos by Allen Farrington One of the most exciting advances in high performance parachute canopies now brought to rocketry by Rocket Rage. These canopies not only create drag, but also function as a 360 degree airfoil. You will get unmatched performance from these incredible chutes. The RRQS15 is designed to carry 15 lbs at 22 fps., and so on. If you want 12-15 fps, choose the next size larger. Weights will vary slightly. Volume is greatly influenced by your packing skills. These volume numbers were derived from packing the chute, canopy and shroud lines, in a 4" tube.
Pictured above is the RRQS330. It is designed to carry 330 lbs at 22 fps. We can make a parachute for any specific weight and descent rate you need. Standard Parachutes Rocket Rage standard parachutes are manufactured to exacting standards of quality by professionals. Our current line of parachutes includes sizes from 36" to 72". Other sizes will be added in the future. Fabric colors vary. All cordage is white. Support tape is used to create a network of strength around the canopy. We call them standard, but the quality is much more comparable to premium chutes, if kit type chutes are "standard". The number after the RR is representative of the diameter of the canopy in inches from point to point.. The weights given are for that size parachute made from 1.3 oz. silicone impregnated fabric. Update: There are only a few of these left of the original stock. A complete new line of parachutes will be posted here soon. The new line will include sizes from 9" up to 96" in diameter.
