Sonic Tomb Parts are in and construction begins. The rocket is a very simple minimum diameter 54 mm rocket. Overall dimensions are 2.3" x 72" Craft phenolic airframe and an Acme fin can. Flight will be on an Aerotech K-250. Sporting the new Olsen M2 unit in this one. Rocket components provided by the terrific folks over at Yank Enterprises. One bad flight attempt on an experimental J-370 motor left some reconstruction to be done. Ooops. Well, I finally got to give the rocket a test before the K-250 flight. I put it up on the J-350 and It went to 6986 ft. Very straight flight and a good indication of it's future flights. On the J-570 it went to 8013 ft. Update: At XPRS a mostly rebuilt Sonic Tomb reached 17,062 (Olsen M2) to take 2nd place in the Extreme Altitude contest.
